About Us
We are a group of passionate goat owners and breeders who have a shared vision of promoting the versitility of this wonderful animal.

Goats can make great pack animals. They are easily trained, versatile and well mannered individuals. A mature wether in good condition can carry up to 50lbs of gear. Pack goats

make ideal companions on the camping trail and can also be useful around the farm yard.

There are various types of packs available to use for goatmpacking: soft pack, packs with

a saddle and panniers and packs with just a saddle.Packs can be made from a variety of materials including wood, aluminum and canvas or purchased ready made.

Harness goats have been around since Roman times, where they were used by children in a small  version of chariot races. Today, they make excellent attractions at fairs and community events,

as well as proving themselves to be useful in woodlots and even for pulling trailers of small square bales. Harness equipment can be simply made or purchased ready made, carts come in several

types and sizes and small gardening implements are available also.

Goats are so willing to please, are very intelligent and a blast to train.

It is the hope of the Canadian Pack and Harness Goat Association that goats will be recognized as a working partner on the farm, on trails, around the yard....and yes, some even in the home.
